The emphasis on the production of high quality finishes in every area was maintained from the outset. This included all of the “back of house” areas not seen by the general public. Timber panelling and mouldings were used extensively with each area being treated separately.

Hardwoods and semi-hardwoods were used to great effect in the recreation of an era where only the elite could enjoy the most opulent surroundings.

The Four Seasons Hotel in the heart of Ballsbridge in Dublin is now a landmark building, inside and out. Nothing was spared in the construction of this 5 Star hotel with the closest attention paid to the most minor details, the finished building can justify its claim to be one of the finest hotels in Europe.

This was a particularly large carpentry and joinery project with enormous quantities of materials used. The standard bedroom alone contained seven different door architraves and six door leafs. Overall there was 12km of skirting, 7km of mouldings, 4000 separate door leafs. The logistics of moving materials from the holding area in the basement car-park to their respective areas throughout the building in the proper sequence was a huge task in itself.
